QUEENS KINDERGARTEN
nurse holding baby Queens Kindergarten is situated within the body of Chapter House Preparatory School.
Children are normally split into 3 groupings with their own play areas:
3 months - 12 months
12 months - 20 months
20 months +
There is a separate kitchen area for sterilisation of bottles, preparation of food etc., private laundry area, and separate little toilets with facilities for potty training. Additionally, there are discreet areas for nappy changing and the application of any prescribed medications. All staff are professionally trained in the care of children up to and beyond primary age. This includes the planning and carrying out of activities, understanding the physical, emotional and social needs of children and the gradual implementation of learning through play and language development.
Our young children regularly enjoy fresh air by going for walks round the grounds of the Hall, in pushchairs provided if necessary. They can enjoy the abundance of wildlife including birds, rabbits and squirrels, help to feed the ducks, watch the fish in the pond and stroke the ponies.
At around the age of 3 they are ready to move onto the next stage of school with which they have already become familiar.
