There are occasions when parents
need to be away from home and want the security of knowing
that their children are being cared for.
Any member of Chapter House from the age of around
5 upwards (a lesser age may be possible dependent on
our staffing) may stay overnight, from one day to a
whole term.
In bad weather we will look after your children, feeding
and accommodating them at a moment’s notice.
You have peace of mind knowing that they do not have
to travel home in hazardous conditions. Similarly,
if a family crisis makes it difficult for you to collect
your child, just tell us and we will look after them
for as long as is necessary.

You now have the freedom
to go on business trips or holidays during the term
knowing your child’s education and welfare are
being covered.
Day Pupils
Those children who travel to school daily
may use one of our fleet of minibuses, all of which
are equipped with seat belts.
In the morning our drivers keep to a timetable so
that no child has to wait a long time for the bus.
At night, no child is allowed to leave the bus unless
there is someone to meet them.
If no-one is at the bus stop the child is brought
back to school, so parents have the assurance that
they are being cared for.

We will feed and accommodate children if necessary, providing
nightclothes, necessary essentials and a bed in the case
of parents being unable to collect them.
In poor weather children may catch the train from York
or Harrogate to Cattal station and we will collect them,
thus avoiding the use of busy and dangerous roads.
