You will see that, although there are a substantial number of Awards
in total, each Award is often specific:- Age group, Specific gender,
Academic course related, or a particular combination of the above.
Thus in each sector there are only a small number of Awards. It is
therefore recommended that early application is made to avoid disappointment,
if you are seeking a particular Award. Acceptance of any Award is considered
acceptance of the these notes, specific conditions noted on some Awards
if that Award is granted, and the terms and conditions printed on the
back of the Registration Form. Availability of any Category of Award can be determined upon calling the College.
The Foundation receives regular reports from both Schools covering
such matters as; academic progress, effort, behaviour and attitude,
any serious breaches of trust or school rules, attendance, and whether
a pupil is generally supporting their school, when requested, in extra-curricular
activities, open days and the like and does not miss days during term
time due to holidays, late arrival at the beginning of term or early
departure at the end of term. When an Award is granted by The Foundation,
it is expected in return that obligations as above should never become
a cause for concern. If, a report however, is received about a pupil
granted an Award [where concern is expressed] the Trustees will review
the Award in conjunction with the Head Teacher, to decide whether to continue,
reduce or, in serious cases, remove it altogether.
All Awards Are Discretionary.
(a) Only 1 Award per pupil made - combinations of Awards are not
possible.
(b) All Awards are
considered "up to" and less may be offered.
(c) All Awards may be subject to possible means ~ income testing ~
financial need validation.
(d) All parents in receipt of any Award are reminded that the Award
is withdrawn, and all amounts granted will be repayable in full, if
the School Fees Bill is not paid 7 days prior to the commencement of
each term, and or, if a pupil does not complete their education with
us for any reason, regardless of commencement age, until the completion
of the end of Year 13. ~ (In the case of HM Forces parents in receipt
of the Armed Forces Remission the minimum requirement of stay is nine
consecutive terms or the end of Year 13 whichever is the sooner.)
(e)
The Trustees seek to be fair in apportioning their resources. Any
single Award, or collective Awards for a family, worth in any one
year, more than £10,000 requires the written agreement of at
least 2 Trustees. Any Award granted worth more than 50% of fees is
funded from a special donation to the Charity for this specific purpose.
(f) No Remissions relate to Kindergarten.
(g) All Awards are periodically reviewed and may be varied upon the
absolute discretion of the Trustees. You will see that in each Category we state the number of Awards currently available as at the time you receive this prospectus. Please be aware if more people apply for a particular Category than there are Awards available, the Trustees may allow more discretionary Awards to be made available to satisfy excess demand.
(h) Terms and Conditions apply to all Awards. Certain Awards have
extra specific conditions attaching to them. Details are shown under
each Award where this applies.
(i)
The "average" child has an IQ of 90 to 110. Financial awards should not
be granted, where IQ is found to be below 90. If it is found that IQ is below 90, the Award (regardless of type or category)
would cease and any Award granted up until that time would be required to be repaid immediately in full.
(j) These Awards are normally only available to parents who are usually resident in the UK except where the Award specifically states otherwise (eg UN Staff). British Forces stationed abroad are counted as UK residents.
